             The Church of God UK Malayalam Section is a body of Christian believers and ministers who worship and serve God in various congregations throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Malaya lees, whose mother tongue is Malayalam, are originally from the southern state of Kerala in India. They are found in almost all countries of the world.

          

           The Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee; U.S.A) is the oldest Pentecostal Movement in the world since 1886 and has its branches in 168 countries of the world. Missionary Robert F. Cook who came to Kerala in the 1920’s is the pioneer and founder of  the Church of God in India.

 

           The first Church of God Malayalee Fellowship in  the United Kingdom was organised in 1983 under the leadership of Dr. George P. Alexander. Since 1985 Rev. Joe Kurian has been leading the Malayalam Fellowship in the Southall Church of God.

 

           Since year 2000 several other Malayalee congregations were established in various suburbs and cities of U.K. This is due to the large number of Malayalee nurses and families and other professionals who have come to the U.K in search of jobs and economic welfare. A number of these congregations organised were established as branches with the Church of God U.K Cross Cultural Ministries that is functioning as  a registered charity under the New Testament Church of God.
